This pregnancy has been more difficult than the ones I've had previously with several complications. Those of you who've followed along on my facebook event know it has been a rough couple of months, but worth every second. I have reluctantly decided to push back my future releases by a few weeks to give myself time to heal without having to worry about book promotion and blog tours. Not knowing if my surgery will be done at my son's birth or if I will be able to wait a few weeks makes planning very difficult. Sorry for any inconvenience or disappointment this may cause. I will still be working whenever I feel up to it and have added several new projects to my lineup. Thank you for understanding. “My name is Willow,” my voice shook as I spoke. My untrimmed nails dug into the tender flesh of my upper arm as I scratched myself until I felt the warmth of blood. The pain was calming to my thoughts, bringing me back to this moment and allowing me to stay present.
“We both know that isn’t your name, Holly.” His tone was too confident and it caused me to grind my teeth. He wasn’t listening. He was asking me questions, but he refused to listen. He wouldn’t last long where I had been. Most didn’t. I was different.

My mind could only focus on that noise, the sound reminiscent of the ticking of his watch. “Willow?” He said as if testing the waters. My eyes snapped to his and my heart began to calm as I cleared my throat. “Why would you like me to call you Willow?”
“Because that’s who I am now.” Because I can be bent to your will and never break. My voice was steady now and I spoke with confidence as I repeated his words.

I squared my shoulders as I ran my tongue over my dry lips. I hated having to shout over a crowd like an animal begging for a small treat, or in this case, a blurb from some pompous jerk.
“Mr. Gibson, can you tell me what it as about the character that drew you to this part?” He ran his hand through his messy, just fucked hair and his emerald eyes scanned the crowd.
“No more questions, thanks.” The man next to Drake called out. Drake smiled out at the crowd and turned to leave. Maybe I was upset I had to attend this event, maybe it was my boyfriend forgetting our anniversary, but the anger boiled up inside of me and I couldn’t help my sudden case of word vomit.
“I’m guessing it is because you are both assholes.”
The group of reporters around me gasped. They actually gasped and Drake Gibson stopped walking. I squeezed my eyes closed, praying to the gods that he would start walking again and I could go home without total humiliation. No such luck. As I opened my eyes I was face to face with one of the most handsome men to ever walk the face of the earth and god did he smell like sex on a stick. I took a deep breath in through my nose as he stared at me like he wanted to eat me alive and not in a sexy romance novel kind of way. More like Hannibal after Lent. He leaned in closer, his nose skimming along my check until his warm breath tickling my ear as he began to whisper.
“Do you like your job?” He asked quietly. I nodded because I had somehow forgotten how to use my words like a big girl in his presence. “If you’d like to keep it, you may want to learn when to keep that pretty little mouth of yours shut.”
